Poseidon Zeolite Filter Rocks

Need to remove ammonia and algae from large fish tanks, backyard ponds and even stock tanks?  Poseidon Filter Rocks, made from 100% Zeolite can do it, simply and effectively. Zeolite is naturally occurring, non-toxic, and extremely effective at removing harmful substances from water. For ponds and stock-watering tanks, we recommend five pounds for each 75 gallons of water.  For aquariums, 8 ounces for each 10 gallons is sufficient.  Poseidon Filter Rocks come in (5) pound bags and are up to three inches in diameter.  The rocks will continue to remove ammonia and algae for many weeks, and when they become less effective due to accumulations of these substances they can easily be cleaned and reused.

Poseidon Zeolite Filter Bags:

Ammonia is a common, toxic waste product in aquariums.  Fish urine, solid waste, and uneaten fish food all contribute. Poseidon Filter Bags, filled with naturally occurring Zeolite, can help prevent new tank syndrome and surges of ammonia in established tanks.  Zeolite-filled bags can effectively remove ammonia waste and greatly improve water quality for your fresh water fish.  Simply rinse the bags in tap water to remove dust; then place in or near your filter system.  Recharge the filter bag every week to start; then every two weeks after safe levels are reached. Recharge the bags by dissolving four tablespoons of non-iodized salt in eight ounces of warm tap water. Soak the pouch for at least two hours and rinse in tap water before reusing. Eventually the bag will become too fouled with organic matter to be reused and should then be replaced.

Suggested Use: Application rate is approximately 10 lbs of Poseidon Pond Rocks for every 300 gallons of water. This product is an excellent biological filter media but is not designed to replace  particulate filtration methods. Place the rocks along side the existing biological filtration medium leaving ample room for existing conditions to reduce impact on the environment. For best results annual replacement is recommended.
